School Children Ideate for Union Budget 2026-27; Submit Unique Recommendations to Ministry of Finance

• Over 80 students from different schools in the city take part in the ideation event that covered six sectors.

• The event saw an expert talk on the Indian Economy & Union Budget and a quiz on India’s various socio and economic sectors

Rajapalayam, January 04 2026: Over 80 students from different schools in the city took part in the third edition of “My Nation, My Budget”, an annual budget ideation event conducted by Scale Education Trust, a forum dedicated to enhancing the scope of education and improving the effectiveness of pedagogy and learning, under the aegis of Kayesr Group of Companies. 

The event saw an expert talk on Indian Economy & Union Budget; and India@78, a quiz programme based on the current status of the country’s key sectors such as Food & agriculture, Climate Change, Urban and Rural Development, Healthcare, Education, and Employment & entrepreneurship. 

Ms. Vedika, Managing Director, Kayesr Group presided over the function. Dr. Chidambaranathan, HOD, Department of Economics, delivered the keynote address on Indian Economy and the Union Budget, while Mr. G. Sankaranarayanan, Founder, Scale Education conducted the quiz programme. Mr. A.K.D. Krishnama Raju, Managing Trustee, A.K.D.R Education Trust presided over the valedictory function, and distributed prizes for students.

The ideation session featured student groups working on the key sectors. Each group was paired with an expert mentor from the respective field to guide their discussions. The students focused on a specific challenge for their ideation in their respective groups and their ideas were evaluated by the domain experts. The top 18 ideas from the workshop were presented to the Ministry of Finance as budget recommendations. 

The domain experts who took part in the ideation workshop were: Mr. A.D. Sankar Ganesh, Councillor, Rajapalayam Municipality, Dr. Narayana Raja, President, Boys Town Society, Thirumangalam, Dr. Ponnuchamy, Ophthalmologist and Dermatologist, Bindhya Clinic, Prof. Vivek, Ramco Institute of Technology, Ms. Architha, Founder, Rajapalayam Young Entrepreneurs Club, and Mr. Hari, organic farming expert.
