Dive Deep is a weekly online program that connects current affairs with school and college subjects.
It aims to promote learning of co-curricular and extra-curricular subjects using note-taking, sharing, and revising.
School and college students who want to:
Build strong conceptual knowledge in subjects related to STEM and Arts & Humanities
Improve learning and presentation skills, such as Note Taking, and Spaced Repetition
Prepare effectively for entrance and competitive exams
Cultivate the mindset and the habit of a lifelong learner
Dive Deep runs in two parts every week:
Part I: News & Topics (Distributed via WhatsApp)
Every Monday, students receive a simple, one-page news report on a recent national or international event. (Here are some of the old weekly News & Topics documents).
In addition to the news, five carefully selected “Dive Deep Topics” connect the news to academic subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math, Languages, Arts & Humanities). Here is a sample news & topics.
Part II: Two-Minute Explainers (via Google Meet)
On Fridays, students present short 2-minute explainers—oral or with visuals—on their chosen topic.
Each session (for a group of 8–12) lasts 30–45 minutes.
Stay updated: Students follow one important development each week.
Learn deeply: They explore related topics and engage in note-taking (Cornell method), summarising, and digital learning tips.
Present confidently: Students share their notes and insights in short, structured explainer sessions.
Time commitment: About 30 minutes of self-learning + one short online session per week.
Exam-ready: A natural way to prepare for entrance and competitive exams (UPSC and more).
Lifelong learning: Builds the habit of connecting current events with academic knowledge.
Practical skills: Enhances comprehension, critical thinking, and communication.
